Daniel Boone Homestead
Rachel and Stephen were one of the first families I photographed several years ago. They've trusted me with capturing several special moments in their life since then - family sessions, pregnancy reveal, maternity, newborn, 1st birthday. They are SO much fun to be around, and their sessions are always full of laughter and love. Their kids, Grant and Sadie, are just precious. Sadie is a sweet and sassy 5 year old, and after our last session in December, I feel like I need to pay her a modeling fee. She is so photogenic, and always giggling and smiling, even when there isn't a camera around. She loves her family so much and it's obvious to see that in the pictures of her and Grant. She certainly keeps them on their toes!
I've been blessed to get to photograph Grant since he was in his mama's belly, and it's been so fun to watch him grow. He was born in the middle of a pandemic, and has gotten a lot of extra time at home with his family because of that, but he isn't shy! He got his first big boy haircut before their photo session and transformed from a baby into an adorable little toddler. There is just something about little boys outfits that make them look like little men and I love it. He is the spitting image of his Daddy, but loves his Mommy more than anything.
We took their family photos this year at Daniel Boone Homestead. The more I visit there, the more I love taking pictures there. There are some great architectural buildings/spots, and a lot of nature. The walking paths and fence posts also provide a great backdrop. Also - I LOVE when families coordinate their outfits so well - a pop of color for Rachel, a cute pattern on Sadie's dress, and simple neutral sweaters for the guys. Thanks for another great photo session Belanger family! I can't wait for the next one!
