Matthew's First Birthday
I have to be honest, I kind of love these little birthday cake smash sessions. Matthew turned one in May, and we had so much fun taking some photos to celebrate his big day! There is something so stinking cute about a little boy with suspenders and a bow tie! The weather was so unpredictable this spring, so we opted to set up this session inside. I don't have a studio, but for times like this, we create a little studio set-up in our living room, which worked out great since it was pouring rain on the morning of his session. Matthew had a lot of fun on the little rocking horse, and playing with the balloons. He wasn't too interested in his cake, but was a good sport and tried it. One is such a fun age - they're still a baby, but definitely getting more independent and developing their own big personalities. I also absolutely adore when those chubby little baby legs start toddling around. Matthew was such a well-behaved and handsome little man - it will be exciting to watch this little guy grow up.
